Ikebana Courses

Sogetsu Ikebana Classes & Courses

We are delighted to announce the start of ongoing Ikebana classes at Highgate Flowers under the tutelage of Marzena Joseph.

Learning the art of Ikebana offers more than just a creative outlet; it promotes mindfulness, enhances focus, and fosters a deeper connection with nature. The practice encourages patience and discipline, helping individuals cultivate inner peace while developing an appreciation for simplicity and balance. Whether for relaxation or personal growth, Ikebana offers a rewarding way to express creativity and cultivate a sense of harmony in everyday life.

Marzena Joseph first began learning Ikebana in 2016 and holds a Teacher’s Diploma Third Grade from the Sogetsu School of Ikebana in Japan. Her flower name is Seiko (Pure Rainbow), a name given by her first Ikebana teacher, the late Mr. Shiego Suga. Seiko reflects Marzena's personality, mirrored in the floral arrangements she creates. Marzena is currently studying under the guidance of Mrs. Ikuyo Morrison, a renowned Japanese Master of Sogetsu Ikebana.

Classes cost £260.00
If students are interested in ongoing study there is an option to book a block of classes at a discounted rate.
